Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
5v5 Official Match
Heroes: 2 Lukes, 3 of any other Jedi Class(Includes no force pulling classes)
Villains: 2 Chokers, 3 Grievous/Maul
Score Limit: 150
Rules:
-No Shooting(Cannont fix droids)
No Pulling
No Glitching
Team Kill On or Off(Your choice)
No Respawning
No Spawn Camping
-No Spawn Killing
-No Excessive High Camping(1-2 mins of not moving on a tower, rocket, etc. Does not include arena)
-No Taunting
"-" denotes a rule addition or adjustment.
The last rule is going to be hard to enforce by both sides and I'm willing to throw it out all together, but just getting on a high building is not considered high camping. Staying there for long periods of time(and I mean an unreasonable amount of time) will result in a warning then a kill penalty. I'm trying to keep this rule fair so it's lenient enough for a match atmosphere, but at the same time it doesn't get abused to the point it completely disrupts the game.
*All rules and restrictions are up for discussion. We are flexible and will try to accommodate GJ the best we can.

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
For the part of GJ who's actually playing vs you guys, if they decide to. Add the no "spawn-sitting" to that list of rules. You guys tend to close all the sides of the spawn and so we have no way of getting out the spawn. Add no taunting in there, I'm usually in favor of taunting in scrims when I see my opponents play like some pussies. But I doubt anybody from GJ would wanna taunt.
Also No spawnkilling, Blade is the only nigga who does it out of all of you and in return I do it back to who anybody that's on his team for the scrim. Just trying to make shit cleared up for my niggas, so none of that bullshit you pull off in the scrims goes on.

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
Let's not be crazy and pretend like you yourself haven't been guilty of all those things at one time or another, you came off as if you were accusing Valkyrie of things rather than making general statement about the current rules set and how they could be improved.
Of course awaiting your response,
No taunting, you got it.
I don't know if you know what spawn-sitting is, spawn sitting is going to your own spawn and remaining there, dragging the enemy into your spawn causing spawn killing to happen. What you described was spawn camping and that is indeed a rule.
Spawn Killing is a result of Spawn Camping so I grouped those two together and that should go without saying, but I will add it there. The other reason is, you can technically kill someone in their spawn it just has to be after a reasonable enough time has passed to give them an opportunity to gather themselves and be able to react to what is going on. When I say in their spawn I mean you can obviously kill heroes on the heroes' platform, kill villains in the cantina, etc. Meaning there are no safe zones except for the time you immediately spawn in and establish yourself as in the game.

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
i agree with everything you said valk.
But my only issue with that "as soon as they are aware they are fresh meat mentality" I feel like the respect factor is in question.. allow someone to get out of the spawn..not just push and throw their block up.
Of course circumstances will occur where u have to save ur teammate and it may result in these rules being broken..but I want to let it be known..that on both sides.. we are sharp enough to know the difference.
and act with the highest degree of respect as possible. and one thing i would like to address.. 5 minutes on a tower?.. dont that seem a little too long? I just think that favors you guys too much..instead of everyone..granted we could do it too..but we dont sit up there for that long in any circumstances.. a couple rules are definitely up for debate.. but five minutes...from da don's perspective.. not speaking for all of us..just me..is absurd..thats basically saying..this will be the longest match of swbf2 history.
so i would like that time to be cut down to 1-2 minutes. because that means five minutes at a time..no fighting may happen..unless someone gets impatient..and that would be your advantage..against players..and not an even playing field so to speak.. because noone wants to be in a scrim..and be able to walk away..and still be alive.
Ultimately our clan.. is defintely in deep thought about this match..and i hope we can make this happen. But we also hope things will be as smooth as possible

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
Of course there is always going to be gray area when it comes to when can you actually begin to attack a newly spawned player, but because spawn camping isn't allowed he can't be killed if someone is simply camping the spawn, which wont happen. However, the more likely scenario is there is a fight in the spawn and someone spawns. Our rule, Valkyrie's, has always been to wait for the player to take some sort of offensive action before he is fair game or simply neutralize them by pushing and not killing them removing the threat completely.
It's going to be done on a case by case basis, but the hope is everyone exercises their best judgment.
I'm with you I feel like 5 minutes is way too long, as I stated on the JOG topic previously. I just want to find some kind of middle ground because I understand, and so do you, that we have no issue with getting in a camping battle with anyone if it comes to that, but not everyone is ready to do that and we are happy to adjust rules, such as this one, to make it a more even playing field.
I just want it to be said that positioning, camping, and other forms of manipulating the playing field have existed in matches for a long time and is most likely here to stay. With that being said, there is no reason we can't minimize the amount of time these situations take by stacking a rule set against it without removing it completely.
At this point I'm assuming everyone who posts has the authority in GJ to be adjusting the rules on the side of GJ, if that isn't the case that is fine and Valkyrie will simply wait for your official response. On that note, I appreciate all those who have responded asking for clarification on all the rules because I do not want there to be any confusion of what is expected when/if it is time to finally get out there and play.

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
Yes they all have the authority to change the rules, if those are the rules they want then we support them. The thing i was originally concerned about looks to be taken care of. If someone runs back to their spawn and gets chased there, accidents do happen and someone might die in their spawn but i'm assuming both teams will be on skype so there is no reason for the person spawning in to not be aware of whats happening in the spawn, giving them the option to take their chances and spawn there or play it safe and spawn somewhere else.
Also the han solo switch i would disagree with. Once a health droid is destroyed, no fixing it.
Did you guys have a date in mind for this?
btw obviously we accept

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
I agree with you and as long as both sides understand that accidents do happen and it doesn't become some glaring issue I doubt we should have a problem with that rule.
No Han Solo, you got it.
Not as of it yet, let me get in touch with everyone and I will respond back with a few dates we are for sure available and we can all go from there.

Ok since most of us in both clans are older players we'll have to work dates around college and work schedules.

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
November if a tricky month for us due to work. With the holiday shopping and exams it's difficult to find a day we're all good. So i checked with my team and we all agree on December 1st, which is a sunday. Would that work?

Re: Valkyrie vs. Gray Jedi
That date appears to work for us, but it is almost a month off and much can happen between now and then so it's a tentative yes. If the match could occur in the evening, ~9 est, that would work best for us.
Also, how would you like the server situation to work?

9 est is good.
with the server, idk we'll figure that out when we get closer to the date.
